Based in the CBD of Port Macquarie, N.S.W., Golf Ladies First is the brainchild of P.G.A. Professionals' Gordon and Chantale McCallum. With over 30 years experience in Scotland, Germany and Australia they felt the need to give women in a male dominated environment a friendly, comfortable atmosphere in which to involve themselves in Golf and the Pro Shop. To give Women Golfers the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their thoughts and experiences from the golf course with a team willing to be involved and understanding their needs.
Their goals are to get more women playing golf on a regular basis, for women to enjoy golf on and around the golf course; to improve their game.
Lastly and most importantly for women to look outstanding and play impressive golf - looking and feeling great is the key to great golf!
Chantale McCallum
Chantale was born in Sydney before moving in 1992 to Germany to begin her career as a P.G.A. Professional. After qualifying as a "Fully Qualified Diploma" Golf Professional she became the youngest qualifier for the Ladies European Tour at the age of 19 and went on to perform at this level with numerous success stories for the next few years.
In 2003 Chantale moved to a club position at Küsten G.C., Germany where she developed her passion for teaching golf at all levels from beginners to Junior Girls State squads.
After moving to Port Macquarie Chantale realised the need to develop Golf for Women starting with various ladies clinics, coaching and ultimately an exciting Ladies Pro Shop and Online Shop.
Gordon McCallum
Gordon is a P.G.A. Professional since 1986. He started his teaching career in Southern Germany before returning to his homeland, Scotland, in 1992 to become Head Professional at Aberdour G.C.
After various success on the Tartan Tour, Challenge Tour and a brief stint on the European Tour Gordon married Chantale and they both moved to Küsten G.C., Germany where they built up the top Pro shop and Teaching Academy in this area. During this time Gordon built up enormous experience doing numerous P.G.A. Pro accompanied trips to all over Europe and Australia.
He is a member of the Australian PGA with advanced qualifications in Coaching, Small Business and Game Development
